Boron Nitride Aerosol Spray

The Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) spray is a high-temperature lubricant and anti-stick release agent, designed for applications where a thin, even coating is needed. It’s especially useful for treating hard-to-reach areas or surfaces with intricate geometries.

This aerosol spray delivers the benefits of hBN’s excellent thermal stability and non-stick properties, making it ideal for industrial and technical use.

Properties of Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) Aerosol Spray

Applications of Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) Aerosol Spray

Used as a high-temperature release agent, providing effective protection in extreme environments where conventional lubricants fail.

Protects surfaces from weld splatter, ensuring cleaner workpieces and reducing the need for post-welding cleanup.

Ideal for metal casting, forging, extrusion, and stamping processes, reducing friction and improving overall efficiency.

Prevents corrosion and provides lubrication during metal forming and molten metal processing, ensuring smoother operations and longer-lasting equipment.

Serves as an effective release agent in plastic and rubber molds, facilitating easy part removal without residue.

Improves mold and die life in glass-making, reducing wear and enhancing surface finish.

Eliminates sticking and prevents carbon contamination during the sintering process, improving the quality of the final product.

Hexagonal Boron Nitride (hBN) coating

Key Properties of hBN Coating:

  1. High-Temperature Resistance:
    • Up to 800°C in air
    • Up to 1950°C in inert gas
  2. Chemical Inertness:
    • Does not react with metals, glass, or molten salts
  3. Lubrication & Protection:
    • Acts as a dry lubricant for hot tools and parts
    • Functions as a release agent on high-temperature surfaces
  4. Non-Wetting:
    • Not impregnated by molten metals, making it excellent for protective use

 Application Instructions:

  1. Available Forms: Aerosol spray or plastic bottle
  2. Surface Prep:
    • Clean thoroughly
    • Remove weld/melt splashes
  3. Spraying Tips:
    • Shake can well
    • Spray from ~70 cm away
    • Apply thin layers, allowing each to dry before the next
